Lost Draw Cellars is one of those Texas producers that is garnering more and more respect with each vintage, and becoming more visible in wine shops, restaurants, and bars across the state. With their first vintage in 2012, they are getting more and more refined each year.
They source their grapes from Texas AVAs, including the increasingly renowned Texas High Plains region. This is absolutely a Texas producer to watch!
This Lost Draw Cellars Red Blend is their gateway wine and is a very Texan blend of Grenache, Sangiovese, and Tempranillo. With red fruit and black fruit notes supported by oaky nots of vanilla, cedar, and toast, it’s a lovely and easy to enjoy weeknight wine.
However, the Lost Draw Cellars portfolio is leaning more and more to single vineyard bottlings, with red varietals like Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Syrah in particular. Be on the lookout for their well made wines, or stop by their Tasting Room in Fredericksburg to learn more!
