After tasting both the red and white Papa Frenchy wines, I was so excited when I found this Papa Frenchy Rosé 2021 on the shelf at Antonelli’s Cheese Shop in Austin. Gotta catch ‘em all, right?
C.L. Butaud’s wines are always flavorful, interesting, and just totally delicious. Unsurprisingly, this rosé checked all these boxes and more. This juicy rosé of Cinsault had pronounced flavor intensity with notes of grapefruit, strawberry, ripe peach, apple, and cherry with some cream and cheese on the palate. The acidity gave it some liveliness that kept it fresh and drinkable.
I would pick up this rosé again in a heartbeat!
